The final stage of Latvian Drift Championship took place on October 3, and more than 70 athletes competed simultaneously for the best results in the last race of the season and also the STP spectator favourite award, which was divided into three classes – PRO, PRO Amateurs, and Street. This year, the best ones turned out to be Ingus Jēkabsons, Voldemārs Siliņš and Kārlis Graustiņš, as well as Edijs Lūkins. Unlike the 2014 drift season, where the STP spectator favourite was chosen by voting in each stage and where the winner received a € 500 cash prize, this year the audience had to vote for their favourite drivers all year round. This made it possible to maintain a continuous intrigue all season long about which driver will be the most deserving of the spectator favourite title and a cash prize of EUR 1500.

In PRO class though, there was no more intrigue about the STP spectator favourite before the last stage of the season because an overwhelming lead of more than 200 votes over the closest rival made Ingus Jēkabsons a convincing leader who then received the PRO class STP spectator favourite award and a cash prize of 1500 Euros. By the way, Ingus Jēkabsons was the very first athlete in the history of Latvian Drift Championship who won the STP spectator favourite award – he also received the most votes in the first stage of Latvian Drift Championship 2014. By contrast, there was an absolute uncertainty regarding the PRO Amateurs and Street classes where there was a number of athletes competing for the title.

In the end, the PRO Amateurs class winners with the very same number of votes were Voldemārs Siliņš and Kārlis Graustiņš. Consequently, these two athletes had to divide the € 1,000 cash prize between themselves. In turn, the STP spectator`s favourite in the Street class was Edijs Lūkins who received a check for 500 Euros. In addition, STP Mechanics race prizes were also awarded during the final stage of the season, thereby expressing gratitude to those people who helped athletes tirelessly all season long so they could achieve outstanding results.
